The SQPTO (Société québécois de psychologie du travail et des organisations) respects the confidentiality and secures your personal information in accordance with Act 25
The SQPTO is committed to implementing the security measures and management practices necessary to protect the confidentiality of your personal information and respect your right to privacy.
We are committed to respecting this commitment throughout the life cycle of your personal information with us, from its collection to its destruction, including its retention, use and communication.
We act in accordance with the laws applicable in Quebec, in particular the rules contained in the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
We ensure that we obtain your consent prior to any use or communication of your personal information.
In certain situations permitted by law, we may use or disclose your personal information without having obtained your prior consent. In such cases, we will ensure that we proceed in accordance with the requirements of the law and in respect of your rights.
The SQPTO does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at the SQPTO is Ms. Louise Charette
This person is responsible for ensuring the application of the applicable legislation regarding the protection of personal information and the respect of your rights with regard to it.

2. Personal information
For the purposes of this Policy, personal information is information that concerns you and that allows you to be identified or recognized, whether directly or indirectly.
Here are some examples of personal information that you may be required to provide us with:

Your language of use
Etc.
The higher the level of reasonable expectation of privacy for information, the greater its sensitivity and the higher the protection measures must be. The three main areas containing sensitive information are those concerning the medical, financial or biometric aspect.
The security measures applied are proportionate to the sensitivity of the personal information to be protected.
Certain information is not considered personal information, such as information about your professional or business functions and information that is of a public nature under a law.
3. Collection, use and communication of your personal information
As part of our activities, we are required to collect the personal information of our employees.
We ensure that we collect only the information necessary for the intended purposes and to carry out our duties.
4. Employees
When you send us your job application or when you are employed by us, we ensure that we collect only the personal information necessary in this context and that we use it securely and in accordance with applicable laws.

5. Retention and destruction of your personal information
We retain your personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the intended purposes and for which it was collected, except where a minimum period is required by law.

When the time comes, personal information is destroyed (or anonymized in some cases) securely and permanently.

6. Access to your personal information and management of your consent. Access to your personal information
You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to obtain a copy of it. You can also ask that your personal information be rectified if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous.
To request access to or rectification of your personal information, please contact the person responsible for the protection of personal information. You will need to provide proof of identity and we may ask you to help us prepare your request.
We will respond to your request within 30 days of receipt. Access to and rectification of your personal information is free of charge, unless reasonable costs apply for the transcription, reproduction or transmission of your personal information.
7. Withdrawal of your consent
You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information at any time. To do so, please contact the person responsible for the protection of personal information. We will review your request and respond to you as soon as possible.
8. Communication of your personal information to third parties
We will only communicate your personal information to third parties with your consent, unless required by law.
9. Transfer of your personal information outside Quebec
Your personal information may be transferred outside Quebec if we use technology service providers or other service providers whose servers are not located in the province. In such cases, we will take measures to ensure the protection of your personal information in accordance with applicable laws.
10. Minors
If you are under 14 years of age, you must obtain the consent of your parent or guardian before providing us with personal information.
